In this paper, a multivariate product type of estimator is suggested for positively correlated auxiliary variables in a finite population. This estimator is used for estimating the prevalence rate at a given value of socio-economic and family planning variables. This estimator is always better than the mean per element. Results show that life expectancy at birth is the best auxiliary variables can be used to estimate. the contraceptive prevalence rate among the variables which have positive correlation with the contraceptive prevalence rate. literacy rate for population 10 years and is the second-best auxiliary variable can be used to estimate the contraceptive prevalence rate.
